Deans Eatman
Deans Eatman is a junior in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences majoring in Agricultural Science. He has minors in Agricultural Business, Agricultural Leadership, and Animal Science. Deans is a native of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, in Halifax County. He is a graduate of Roanoke Rapids High School.

“I am honored to be selected as a member of the inaugural class of Warren Leadership Fellows,” says Deans. “I look forward to having the opportunity to be a part of the continuation of Mr. Warren's legacy of promoting leadership in agriculture in order to ensure the future of sound and effective agricultural policy in North Carolina.” Deans serves as a leader at NC State University. He has represented the college as a member of the North Carolina State University Student Senate. He has also represented NC State University as a university delegate to the University of North Carolina Association of Student Governments. He has been active as an officer and committee chairman within the Collegiate FFA Chapter and the Agricultural & Extension Education Club.

Deans plans to use his experiences in the Warren Leadership Program to explore opportunities for engagement in agricultural education and policy. Deans has a long-term goal of attending graduate school in law or public policy followed by service to the industry of agriculture, either in government or the private sector. He will be interning in Summer 2015 with the North Carolina Pork Council.
