Lynde Ring

Lynde Ring
Lynde Ring is a junior in the College of Agriculture & Life Sciences majoring in Bioprocessing. She has minors in Biomanufacturing and Animal Science. Lynde is a native of Warrensville, North Carolina, in Ashe County. She is a graduate of Ashe County High School.

“I am most looking forward to meeting today's leaders in agriculture and exploring the areas related to my field. I am very excited for the opportunities ahead of me as a Warren Fellow!” says Lynde. She has been active in leadership during her time at NC State University. Lynde has been active in the Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity as a committee chairwoman. She has also served as a University Scholars Program Assistant and volunteer and committee member with the SPCA. Lynde is active in undergraduate research in food microbiology.

Lynde plans to use her experiences in the Warren Leadership Program to expand her understanding of agricultural policy and ways to improve access for schools to healthy foods. Lynde has an interest in international travel. She will be interning in Summer 2015 with the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
